Welcome to the Givens Foundation's African American Curriculum Exchange (AACE).
Here you can find and print curriculum units on African American literature, history, culture and social issues for K-12 students. These units have been submitted by teachers like you who want to find new resources and exchange ideas. The Givens Foundation has reviewed the units or learning activities and sorted them by subject matter and grade levels. All users of the curriculum exchange may read what others say about the units and add comments -- a useful tool for sharing ideas with colleagues across the nation. Many of the learning activities are interdisciplinary. Some integrate the Internet and can link you to related sites. A special feature for Minnesota educators is alignment of each unit to content standards of the state's graduation rules. Please consider being a contributor and sharing units that you have written. By doing so, you become eligible for a Givens Foundation Education Award. |
