II. Internships

The Givens Foundation's internships provide meaningful opportunities for individuals interested in building professional connections and gaining hands-on experience to advance their careers in a diverse non-profit arts setting. Whether you are in college, a recent graduate, or a young adult looking to make a career transition, we are ready to share our experiences with you.

b. Internship Cycle

  • Fall 2018 (September 1 – December 19, 2018)
    Priority Application Deadline: August 21, 2018

  • Winter & Spring 2019 - January 4 – May 21, 2019
    Priority Application Deadline: November 4, 2018

Nuts & Bolts: Internships are for approximately 4 months for an average of 8 hours per week, which includes helping with evening and weekend events. A monthly stipend will be provided for the duration of the internship. The stipend amount and the start/end dates of the program are flexible and should be agreed upon between the intern and his/her supervisor prior to the start of the internship.

Please note: For those interested in the Digital Media & Design focus, work samples are also required. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, however we strongly recommend applying by the priority application deadline.

This activity is made possible by voters of Minnesota through grants from the Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant and the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
